You've Built a Life That Works on Paper.
Living It Is a Different Story.
Online Counselling Therapy For Business Owners, Leaders, and Professionals
Anywhere in
New Brunswick & Ontario
As a business owner, leader, or professional in a high-responsibility role, you’re used to being the one who holds things together. Clients, staff, deadlines, money, decisions—there's always something demanding your attention. You've worked hard to get where you are. You know how to solve problems, make decisions, and carry responsibility. Lately, though, it feels like what you have to do to keep everything going doesn’t quite line up with the kind of person you want to be—for yourself or for the people around you. Counselling gives you space to slow down, reconnect with what actually matters to you, and make steady, realistic shifts in how you respond under pressure so you can get to the things that matter most.
No charge if you are not satisfied and do not book a follow-up session.

If This Sounds Familiar, You’re Not the Only One:
A lot of business owners and professionals I work with describe things like:
-
“My brain never turns off. Even when I’m home, I’m still at work in my head.”
-
“I’m responsible for everyone else’s problems, and there’s no one I can really talk to about mine.”
-
“I’m either wired and on, or numb and checked out.”
-
“I’m not the partner or parent I want to be by the time I drag myself through the door.”
-
“The business/career is growing, but I’m not sure I can keep going like this.”
-
You don’t have to wait for a complete crash or a big blow-up to get support. Feeling the load more than you used to is enough.
What Counselling Can Help With
This isn’t business consulting. We’re not building your strategy deck. We’re working on you—the person behind the role. Common areas we focus on include:
-
Chronic stress, anxiety, and feeling “always on”
-
Burnout, exhaustion, or feeling like you’ve hit a wall
-
Difficulty switching off from work or being present at home
-
Irritability, anger, or emotional shutdown under pressure
-
Guilt about not being there the way you want to be for your partner, kids, or friends
-
Boundaries with work, staff, clients, and your own expectations
-
Impostor feelings, self-criticism, or feeling like it’s never enough
-
Bigger questions about meaning, direction, and what all this effort is for
You don’t need the perfect label for what you’re dealing with. We’ll figure that out together.
Remember, no risk.

How Sessions Fit Your Real Life
How I Work With
Business Owners & Professionals
I use the same three-pillar framework here as in the rest of my work:
Awareness
Openness
Engagement.
My framework draws mainly from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and positive psychology.

In plain language, that looks like:
-
Seeing what’s actually going on.
We slow things down enough to notice what’s driving you under pressure—your thoughts, emotions, habits, and stories about success, failure, and responsibility. -
Making room for what’s hard instead of just stuffing it down.
You’ve probably gotten far by pushing through. That works—until it doesn’t. We practice making enough room for stress, fear, doubt, and anger so they don’t run the show from the background or leak out sideways. -
Taking steady action that fits the life you actually want.
We turn insight into small, realistic steps: how you handle overload, set boundaries, have hard conversations, and look after yourself and the people closest to you. Not perfection—steady steps that make your real life, not an imaginary one, more workable.
This is counselling, not business coaching. We’re not here to optimize your KPIs; we’re here to help you show up as the kind of person you want to be, at work and at home.
When Work and Home Start Bleeding Into Each Other
For most business owners and professionals, work doesn’t stay in a neat box:
-
Stress from the day follows you through the door.
-
Emails and messages leak into evenings and weekends.
-
Big decisions and worries are hard to switch off at night.
-
Tension at home sometimes makes it harder to focus at work.
In counselling, we don’t pretend those worlds are separate. We’ll look at how pressure at work is affecting home—and how what’s happening at home shows up at work. Then we’ll work on ways to respond that don’t require you to choose one over the other.

What Can Change Over Time
I can’t promise an easy workload or a stress-free life. But with steady work, many business owners and professionals notice:
-
More space between feeling stressed and reacting
-
Less snapping at the people closest to you
-
Better ability to switch gears between work and home
-
Clearer boundaries around time, energy, and availability
-
A steadier way of leading or working that doesn’t chew you up or wear you down
-
More alignment between the way you’re living and what actually matters to you
You’ll still have responsibilities. You’ll still have long days. We’ll work to help you carry that load in a steadier, more balanced way, and to make choices that fit the life you actually want.
Common Questions
You Don’t Have to Burn Out to Do Things Differently.
You’ve already carried a lot on your own, and you’re still showing up. If you’re starting to feel the cost more than you used to, it might be time to stop running this alone and work on it with someone outside the situation.
If you’re ready to take the next step, book a counselling session.
Not sure if this is the right fit, and want to ask more questions? You can also request a brief 15-minute call before booking.
